Yvonne Hughes was an associate of Raymond Smith and Associates in Blackheath, London, where she worked on projects for the Metropolitan Police and the Southwark Diocese.
In 1992 she established Yvonne Hughes Architect in Rouen where she has worked for both French and English clients converting older buildings and extending them. Through close collaboration with local craftsmen and the conservation authorities she has been able to create contemporary interiors whilst maintaining a traditional exterior.
Her work also includes contemporary extensions and interiors, consulting rooms for paediatricians and larger health clinics and practices.
